Rules of behavior within the Shelter

  • Groups are admitted to the shelter after a nominal roll has been drawn up and the group coordinator presents an identity document.
  • For the safety of dogs and visitors alike, group members are asked to remain together throughout the activities. Separation from the group is forbidden, unless upon request and in the presence of a Speranța employee.
  • It is very important that visitors behave as calmly as possible and do not, during the visit, shout, make sudden movements or other gestures that may agitate the dogs. We also reserve the right to ask you to leave certain personal items at the entrance of the kennel that may further agitate the dogs.
  • It is strictly forbidden:
    • Administering food or medication to dogs without the consent of the staff;
      interacting with dogs in the absence of any Hope staff member;
    • Opening cages or dog runs;
    • Visiting the shelter by persons who are intoxicated or have allergies to animal (hair).
  • Hope staff are instructed not to receive money or gifts from visitors. If they wish, visitors can donate directly to the shelter’s accounts, by bank transfer or text message. For cash donations, only contact the shelter manager, who will also issue a receipt on the spot.
