Piatră

“Piatră” means “stone” – a name that fits a soul who learned too early to shut down.

He’s a young American Bully, abandoned like so many others of his breed by people who never meant to stick around. Now he’s with us, safe in the shelter – but of all the dogs here, he’s the saddest.

Though he’s gentle and gets along well with the other dogs, something breaks in him when he sees a human. He flattens to the ground, wishing he could disappear, trying to become invisible.

He needs help. Desperately. Without starting a desensitization program soon, the little light left in his eyes might fade away. But there is still time. There is still hope.

💛 Through long-distance adoption, you can help Piatră take the first steps toward healing – to learn that hands can be kind, that food comes without fear, that walks can be joyful.

And maybe, just maybe, one day he’ll learn what it’s like to belong to someone. For life.
