Negruta Onix got her name from her deep, glossy black coat, reminiscent of the precious onyx stone. She is a special little dog who deserves food, care, and peaceful moments filled with affection. Through long-distance adoption, you can offer her all this and the joy of knowing someone is thinking of her.

Every year, thousands of dogs are abandoned on the streets of Romania.
Many eventually arrive at Speranța Shelter after suffering neglect, illness or abuse. While we work tirelessly to find every dog a loving home, some simply wait much longer than others.
Older dogs, dogs with disabilities, and those carrying emotional scars are often overlooked despite having so much love to give.
Sponsorship allows dogs like Negruța Onix to receive everything they need for as long as they’re with us. It also helps us continue rescuing the next stray dog with nowhere else to go.
For more than 20 years, Speranța Shelter has been rescuing, treating and caring for abandoned dogs in Romania.
Today, more than 500 dogs rely on us every day for food, medical treatment, rehabilitation and a safe place to live while they wait for a forever home.
Every sponsorship helps us continue this work.
