Cega arrived at our shelter after life had not been kind to her. Even though she went through uncertainty and difficult moments, she remained a gentle, calm dog who longs for affection.

At Adăpostul Speranța, Cega is slowly beginning to discover what safety and human care truly mean. She has a quiet presence, but she is incredibly loving and genuinely happy for every gentle touch and every moment of attention she receives.

Until she finds the right family, Cega needs support through long-distance adoption. The help of a virtual adopter means food, care, and the chance for a better life in a safe place.

Cega still hopes that somewhere out there is someone who will give her the love she deserves and stand by her until the day she finally goes home forever.

Why dogs like Cega need sponsors

Every year, thousands of dogs are abandoned on the streets of Romania.

Many eventually arrive at Speranța Shelter after suffering neglect, illness or abuse. While we work tirelessly to find every dog a loving home, some simply wait much longer than others.

Older dogs, dogs with disabilities, and those carrying emotional scars are often overlooked despite having so much love to give.

Sponsorship allows dogs like Cega to receive everything they need for as long as they’re with us. It also helps us continue rescuing the next stray dog with nowhere else to go.
