Mara cries softly in the shelter, especially in the evenings. And sometimes she trembles with sadness or maybe even fear. Nighttime, especially, can be frightening for her.

Mara is 13 and would make a great house or yard dog. It doesn’t matter where her future family will live, in fact, all that matters is that they want to be with her and care for her to become what we all dream of her becoming: a fearless dog, like any being who knows she is loved.
