Sponsor Fată

Become Fată's hero, even from afar

She was chosen for the ‘Friendship Without Age’ project, the one through which we regularly visit elderly people at a senior care center in Bucharest.

Fată only has three legs, and she is incredibly sweet and gentle, so we thought she would interact well with — and even empathize with — people who, many of them as well, have been struck by hardship and health problems.

By sponsoring Fată from a distance, you provide not only for her well-being, but also for the joy of many elderly residents at the center, whom Fată visits regularly to bring comfort and happiness.

How your sponsorship helps Fată

Every dog at Speranța Shelter deserves food, warmth, medical care and love, whether they find a home next month or spend many more years with us.

Dogs like Fată often wait the longest for a home. Whether or not Fată ever finds a forever family, your sponsorship means they never go without.

Although your sponsorship is linked to Fată, your donation also helps us care for every dog at Speranța Shelter. Together, we make sure no rescued dog is ever left without the essentials they need.

By sponsoring Fată, you’re helping provide:

  • Nutritious meals every day
  • Veterinary care, including check-ups, medication and treatment whenever needed
  • A safe place to live, with warm shelter during Romania's cold winters
  • Exercise, enrichment and companionship to keep them healthy and happy
  • Special care, rehabilitation or mobility support if their condition requires it

Prefer to make a one-off gift?

If you’d rather make a single contribution instead of sponsoring monthly, you can make a one-off donation to support Fată.

Your gift will help cover the cost of food, veterinary care, shelter and everything else they need throughout the year.

Unlike monthly sponsorship, this option does not include regular updates or a dedicated sponsorship relationship with Fată. It’s simply another meaningful way to help provide the care they deserve.

Why dogs like Fată need sponsors

Every year, thousands of dogs are abandoned on the streets of Romania.

Many eventually arrive at Speranța Shelter after suffering neglect, illness or abuse. While we work tirelessly to find every dog a loving home, some simply wait much longer than others.

Older dogs, dogs with disabilities, and those carrying emotional scars are often overlooked despite having so much love to give.

Sponsorship allows dogs like Fată to receive everything they need for as long as they’re with us. It also helps us continue rescuing the next stray dog with nowhere else to go.
