At first glance, Hector seems like a calm and gentle dog. But you can’t get too close, and you can’t touch him, you simply cannot put a hand on him. His eyes follow every movement, as if weighing everyone’s intentions.

He is not aggressive or disobedient. It is pure vigilance, built from years of adaptation and mistrust. Any approach makes him freeze and silently convey: “I don’t know what to expect yet.”

Hector does not seek forced contact. He needs patience and respect for his own pace.

Through sponsorship/adoption at a distance, you can help provide the food, care, and emotional support he needs to discover, over time, that safety is possible.

Stand by Hector. Beneath the vigilance is a loyal dog who can learn to trust.
