Maya is a young dog, but with a broken spirit. The most beautiful part of her life was spent chained up. She doesn’t know what play is, what freedom is, what people or other dogs are. She only knows the chain. And that’s all.
Now she is at Speranța, but she doesn’t like people. We understand her. But we are determined and we will work with her for as long as needed to show her that there are good people too.
And when we say people, we mean you as well. Here in the shelter, we will work with her every single moment, while you, from afar, can contribute through donations for Maya. Because Maya is joining the Messengers of Hope program, our desensitization program for traumatized dogs. In Maya’s case, the trauma was the chain and the passing of time.
