Norocel went through terrifying moments after a serious accident that put his life in danger. He was hit by a car and left to suffer. His injuries were severe, the pain overwhelming, and time was not on his side. Without rapid medical intervention, Norocel would not have survived.
He was rushed to the shelter—frightened, weak, and in critical condition. The veterinarians fought for him, but the verdict was harsh: one of his hind legs could not be saved. The decision to amputate was made with heavy hearts and deep regret, but it was the only solution that could still give him a chance at life.
In those moments, every minute counted. Every act of help made the difference between life and death. The costs of surgery, investigations, and treatments were high, but we could not stop—because for Norocel, his second chance began right then.
Norocel’s recovery was long, difficult, and costly. He went through a demanding physical rehabilitation process after surgery and required constant care and immense patience. Although the amputation was a painful step, Norocel showed incredible strength.
There was also an issue with his other hind leg, which had been injured as well—but we managed to save it.
Beyond the visible physical wounds, we knew that such trauma leaves deep emotional scars. For Norocel, healing his heart was just as important as healing his body. And that kind of healing could only come from being given a chance at love.
Norocel didn’t just survive—he was chosen.
His path crossed with that of Ioana Cosma, host of the SPORT Toc & Talk podcast. At first, the plan was simply to promote him for adoption, but by the end of the show something far more powerful happened: Ioana fell in love with him and decided to become his mum.
Today, Norocel is healthy, happy, and full of energy, enjoying a life filled with love in a real home. His story shows us that every dog—no matter their past or their disabilities—can be given a second chance.
