Sponsor Pufulete – Survivor of a Public Shelter

Become Pufulete – Survivor of a Public Shelter's hero, even from afar

Pufulete is a male dog who carries fear like a shadow that never leaves him. His body is constantly tense, his large eyes reveal his panic, and any approach makes him freeze or instinctively pull away.

He is not aggressive — just overwhelmed by a deep fear that makes him difficult to touch. He doesn’t seek affection or attention. What he needs is patience, calm, and understanding.

Through sponsorship/adoption at a distance, you can provide him with the food, care, and emotional support he needs to discover, step by step, that safe places do exist — places where fear doesn’t have to lead.

Stand by Pufulete. Beneath the fear is a soul that deserves a chance at safety.

Why dogs like Pufulete – Survivor of a Public Shelter need sponsors

Every year, thousands of dogs are abandoned on the streets of Romania.

Many eventually arrive at Speranța Shelter after suffering neglect, illness or abuse. While we work tirelessly to find every dog a loving home, some simply wait much longer than others.

Older dogs, dogs with disabilities, and those carrying emotional scars are often overlooked despite having so much love to give.

Sponsorship allows dogs like Pufulete – Survivor of a Public Shelter to receive everything they need for as long as they’re with us. It also helps us continue rescuing the next stray dog with nowhere else to go.
